The Powerhouse Visitor Parking Case Study

The Powerhouse uses VPS to manage visitor parking with resident booking controls, automated bollards and 24/7 monitoring. Building management can oversee bookings, track how visitor bays are being used and receive notifications when the system is abused.

The Visitor Parking Challenge

At The Powerhouse, building management needed tighter control over how residents used visitor parking. The key requirements were the ability to limit how many bookings each resident could make and for how long, see how visitor bays were being used, and receive notifications when parking rules were abused.

The VPS Solution

VPS gave The Powerhouse a controlled visitor parking system combining resident booking rules, automated bollards and 24/7 monitoring. Residents can make approved visitor bookings within the rules set by management, while the building team has visibility over bookings, bay use, overstays and unauthorised activity.

Visitor Parking Usage at The Powerhouse

Across the period shown, median visitor parking occupancy was 7.69%, with demand rising significantly during peak periods. The VPS data gives building management a clear picture of when visitor bays are being used and where capacity pressure occurs.

What Building Management Says

“We have full control over how many bookings each resident can make and for how long. We have full oversight of how residents are using the visitor parking bays. And if someone is abusing the system, we receive notifications.”
